چکیده

In recent years autonomous agents have significantly gained in importance for the modelling of human behaviour. With this development a need for adequate design methodologies for complex agents emerges which are capable of modelling essential characteristics of human beings in connection with their decision making and behaviour control. In this article the PECS reference model for the construction of humanlike agents is introduced which enables an integrative modelling of physical, emotional, cognitive and social influences within a component-oriented agent architecture. Furthermore the case study Learning Group is introduced which demonstrates the practical application of the design methodology and is intended to model basic social psychological mechanisms in the context of group formation and disbandment.

Agent- Based Modelling of Human Acting, Deciding and Behaviour - the Reference Model Pecs

Agentbased modelling and simulation is a powerful tool in studying complex systems. For the purpose of designing related simulation models, it is helpful to utilize already existing problemrelated design patterns: reference models. The PECS reference model provides capabilities for objectoriented model specification Its application area is settled in the field of agentbased simulation, especial...

Implementing comprehensive offender behaviour in a realistic agent-based model of burglary

Explaining and modelling crime patterns is an exercise that has taxed policy-makers, criminologists, social reformers and the police ever since the first crime patterns were recorded. Crime is a particularly difficult phenomenon to model because of its inherent complexity; crime patterns are built up from a multitude of human-human and humanenvironment micro-interactions that ultimately lead to...

طراحی مدل‌ عامل‌محور و کاربرد آن در باستان‌شناسی

The aim of this paper is to consider what constitutes agent-based modelling (ABM) and how this can relate to archaeological reasoning. The development and construction of ABM models is an essential prerequisite for most archaeological reasoning. Both directly and indirectly, archaeologists are making extensive use of ideas and methods in applications that derive from archaeological, anthropolog...

Empirical characterisation of agent behaviours in socio-ecological systems

Agent-based modelling has become an important tool to investigate socio-ecological processes. Its use is partially driven by increasing demand from decision makers to provide support for understanding the potential implications of decisions in complex situations. While one of the advantages of agent-based modelling is the ability to simulate the implications of human decision-making processes e...
